Introduction: 以「系統單晶片設計、光電及半導體」為主要發展重點。其中,系統設計方面包含三個主題:(一)積體電路設計(二)資訊工程與(三)通訊系統。光電及半導體方面所包含三個主題為:(一)光電及半導體元件(二)平面顯示器(三)材料工程。其中特別強調電子量測、半導體製程與IC數位模擬及平面顯示器等實務課程,並強化相關製程技術的選修課程以提高學生專業能力。因應中部科學園區之重點發展計畫人力需求,課程中並規劃平面顯示器的相關課程以務求與產業動態緊密結合。在材料工程方面,因應新材料之開發與運用,培育電子/奈米材料之專業技術人才。結合各項理化與材料之所長,適合高科技產業之需求,使學生就業機會更寬廣。加強理論與實務結合,培養「理論與實務兼具」之電子/奈米材料技術工程人才。本系課程規劃著重培養相關工業界需求之技術人力資源。


The Department's focus is on system design, Opto-electronic and Semicanductor. Students will learn system design that includes integrated circuit design, computer engineering, and communication systems. We specially emphasize the knowledge about electronic precision measurement flat panel display and solid-state devices. These will include optical-electronics and semi-conductor devices, electronic measurements, semi-conductor manufacturing, process simulation, flat panel displays, and electronic nano-structure material engineering. A series of R&D courses about flat panel display are developed and closely connected to the manufacturing industry. Students who graduate from the department will have acquired the most modern electronic engineering education that meets the requirements for industrial development.
