Introduction: 本校通識教育課程的設計，提供統合的知識，強調學生學習經驗和能力的發揮。 開設「修平講座」核心通識課程，期使學生了解學校的發展及創校的理念，培育有深度的歷史思維。本校開設「文學概論」、「應用外語」、「服務學習」等基礎通識，提昇學生表達能力、鑑賞品味，建立服務的人生觀。開設「人文、社會、自然及輔導」等分類通識課程。培養學生全方位人文關懷的情操，開拓視野與胸襟。

The Center offers two programs: the Core Courses and the Basic Courses. The Core Course such as the Hsiuping Lecture Series provides students a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the institution's principles, history and plans for the future. The Basic Courses are in such areas as literature, foreign languages, and service learning. These enhance students' capacity of expression and appreciation, and establish an outlook on life-based service. The General Education Center also offers specialized courses in culture, society, and nature. These courses give guidance for developing students' concerns for human beings in every aspect and help broaden their visions and expand their minds.
