Introduction: 本系的教學與研究將以通訊網路技術、系統分析與應用開發以及系統管理三大類為發展的重點。強調教學理論與實務之結合，並推廣與產業企業之建教合作機會，融入課程設計，以求學以致用。除此之外，建置『CCNA、JAVA、無線網路、網路安全、資料庫系統、Linux』國際認證教學環境，將認證的教材融入課程的規劃，讓學生在修習學分的同時也具備考取國際認證的能力。以建立全方位之網路通訊人才培育管道。

The departments goal is to educate students to acquire necessary knowledge and practical skills in information and networking systems. The departmental courses are categorized into three fields: communication network technology, system analysis and application development, and system management. Students can also become IT certified by completing programs from CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Network Security, JAVA, Linux, and MCDBA. Certification is also available for wireless networks. Two additional goals are to expand the relationship with IT related companies and to adapt courses to the needs of these companies.
